Charles Bediako remains eligible… for now
We’ve heard of “being saved by the bell,” but Alabama was saved by the weather on Monday… at least for now.
That’s because with weather issues closing Alabama courts this week, a Tuscaloosa judge has extended Charles Bediako’s temporary restraining order another 10 days, meaning he will be allowed to play at least into next week.
Bediako’s case was expected to be heard today (Tuesday, January 27th) but will now be postponed until early February.
Bediako played 25 minutes in Saturday’s loss to Tennessee, finishing with 13 points, three rebounds, two steals and two blocks. He also will be eligible to play in upcoming games against Missouri on Tuesday (tonight) and Florida on Sunday.
Worth noting - head coach Nate Oats doubled down on the entire situation.
Following Bediako’s debut, we did a deep dive on Sunday’s show ⬇️⬇️

Monday Night Hoops: Duke demolishes Louisville, Arizona survives BYU’s late rally
The No. 1 Arizona Wildcats traveled to Provo to face future NBA lottery pick AJ Dybantsa and the BYU Cougars. With 11 minutes remaining, Arizona appeared in control, holding a 19-point lead. BYU rallied late and cut the deficit to one point with 16 seconds left, but Rob Wright’s potential game-winning shot was blocked.
Duke dominated Louisville in the paint, outscoring the Cardinals 42-10, and controlled the boards with a 47-26 rebounding advantage. The Blue Devils rolled to an 83-52 victory, led by Cam Boozer’s 19 points and 10 rebounds.
