Will Wade gives update on LSU roster
Despite having only one publicly committed player—Kentucky transfer Mo Dioubate—Will Wade told Jon Rothstein he actually has “seven to eight players,” though the school hasn’t announced any of them yet.
Here’s the full quote from Coach Wade:
“We have 7 or 8 guys, we're not too worried."
"For a bunch of reasons, we are not announcing things. Some guys are still playing the playoffs; there are a lot of different things going on."
"By the day school starts, we'll have real good team. That's all that matters. By the end of August, we'll have a great team. We feel really good about the work we have done. We'll have a roster that will compete with just about anybody in the SEC and nationally."

Joel Klatt Post-Spring Top 25 Rankings
Joel Klatt has Oregon at No. 1 in his rankings. Quarterback Dante Moore returns for Oregon after leading the Ducks to the College Football Playoff semifinal in the Peach Bowl. Oregon lost both coordinators in the offseason, with offensive coordinator Will Stein departing for Kentucky and defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi leaving for Cal.
Texas at No. 7 appears low. Arch Manning returns for the Texas Longhorns, which added several offensive weapons through the transfer portal, including five-star wide receiver Cam Coleman from Auburn. ESPN ranked Texas’ transfer portal class, (which also includes TWO running backs) , No. 3 nationally.
LSU checks in at No. 8 in Year 1 of the Lane Kiffin era after his messy departure from Ole Miss. The Tigers landed QB Sam Leavitt in the transfer portal from Arizona State. They also landed top edge rusher Princewill Umanmielen. They have the No. 1 transfer portal class according to ESPN.
Joel Klatt has the USC Trojans ranked No. 10. That feels high, but Klatt may be right. They signed the No. 1 recruiting class and brought in some very experienced coaches like Gary Patterson and Mike Ekeler. Quarterback Jayden Maiava is back after an excellent 2025 season, throwing for 3,711 yards. He will be joined by running backs Waymond Jordan and King Miller and will play behind a seasoned offensive line.

Then yesterday, after an eventful transfer portal window to say the least, he tweeted this. The comment section is … amusing.
